Indonesia’s cybersecurity market is projected to grow from USD 1.43 billion in 2024 to USD 4.21 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 24.19%. At the same time, the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) reported nearly 2,200 anomalous cyberattacks per minute in 2023, with Indonesia experiencing one of the highest attack volumes in Southeast Asia—driven by rapid economic growth and relatively lower cybersecurity spending.
With increasing digital adoption, the government is taking strong steps to enhance cyber resilience through initiatives led by the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), alongside programs to equip the public sector and over 70,000 SMEs with advanced AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities. Regulatory advancements such as Presidential Regulation No. 47 of 2023 and new cybersecurity guidelines from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) further strengthen Indonesia’s digital defense framework.
