Overview

The most desired destination for datacentre development in ASEAN, Malaysia currently houses over 600 industrial estates with strong connectivity. While the sector is witnessing a massive surge in investments, this growth can be attributed to rampant digitalization initiatives, growing submarine cable connectivity and most importantly big multinationals expanding their dedicated cloud regions in the country.

In numbers, Malaysia has garnered investments worth $16.35 billion between 2021 and March 2023. As for the datacentre market share is concerned the projected value is $2.08 billion by 2026. On the other hand, Malaysia’s cloud-first strategy is directly propelling the growth of cloud computing in the country that’s projected to reach $3.7 billion in 2024.

While the government has provided a robust support all throughout to Malaysia’s datacentre and cloud development, its policies & incentives on renewable energy, land and the current digital economy ecosystem has been further accelerating the growth.

To accelerate Malaysia’s tech-driven transformation and support the govt. with its initiatives, Tradepass is hosting the 3rd Edition of Datacentre & Cloud Infrastructure Summit (DCCI) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 14 – 15 May 2024 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The event will attract 500+ datacentre & cloud professionals from 200+ leading public and private enterprises across Malaysia.
